This just in...as of 3 days ago (Aug 29th)
Our little bear is officially walking.
Every kid is different, and she might have taken 2 more months to walk than Emily did, but hey, she made it. And she is doing great! We were all sitting in the living room before bedtime, and she just decided to let go of one couch and walk to the other. Just like that, when no one was really paying attention. Once we caught onto what was happening, we really erupted with praise and focused on her. She beamed as she walked from couch to couch and back again over and over. I mean talk about a proud moment for herself...she was laughing and smiling ear to ear. She was loving it on the night of her walking debut. And she hasn't stopped since. She still crawls on long distances, but around the living room, she walks. I am one happy momma. I really don't enjoy the crawling phase. The tops of her feet, knees and hands always get so dirty by the end of the day.
These pictures are a little blurry because she was in stride. It is still strange to see her standing and walking in the middle of the room, all by herself.
