Devin served a 2 year mission in Seattle for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He left when he was 19 and returned shortly after his 21st birthday. He spent 2 years of his life completely devoted to sharing the Gospel and serving the people of Seattle. It was an extreme and intense experience, so you can imagine how he and the other missionaries that were out with him at the same time bonded quickly. They share that experience with him, and they are the only ones that understand exactly what his mission was like.
Here we are over 10 years after he left for Seattle, and he is still doing a good job at keeping in touch with a few of the other missionaries he served with. We had CJ Wilkinson and Aaron Alread over for dinner last Friday. It was so good for Devin to reconnect with these guys that he hasn't seen in a few years, and it was really fun for me to hear them reminisce about their mission days.
This is CJ's oldest boy, Max. He's 5 and so stinkin' cute. Just in case these two date someday...we needed a picture of them.
