Our 1st House Guest

When we lived on the north side of Chicago, during Devin's medical school, it seemed that we had visitors coming all the time.  It was great!  Now living on the west side of the city for almost a year, last week was our very first overnight guest...my cousin Justin.  He is just finishing up his first year as a practicing Anesthesiologist, and was in town for a review crash course leading up to his Anesthesia Oral Boards...all located in Chicago.  It was so great having him here with us and getting caught up on how he is and his family have been liking life after med school and residency.

Devin taught him how to make kettle corn popcorn.

He played in the back yard with the girls while I got dinner ready.  Devin is never home before dinner time, so this was really nice!

He treated us to some deep dish Chicago style pizza on his last night.  So filling and so good!

He spent quite a bit of time at our local library cramming for his boards, until the morning came for him to take the train into the city and apply all his knowledge.

The girls and I decided to drive to the city to pick him up once he was finished, instead of him riding back on the train.  It was fun to surprise him, and snap a picture of him.

The girls loved his company for the 4 days he stayed with us!
