Devin has this week off of school, and Tuesday we made our way to the big city! The Shedd Aquarium and Adler Planetarium were both offering free admission that day, so we took full advantage. We spent most of our time at the aquarium. We learned quickly that FREE didn't mean much. Yes, we were able to see part of the museums for free, but to see sharks, whales, dolphins, etc we would have had to pay $15 each. But we did have fun seeing the free stuff. Emily was entertained for a solid 2 hours at the aquarium....NICE!
It was hard to get a good picture without glare or reflection interfering. This turtle was going after a piece of apple. I was most fascinated by the turtles. I think I will let our kids have one if they want a pet. Not a dog...a little turtle.
The sea horses were Devin's favorite. They are funny little animals.
We didn't take any pictures in the Planetarium because, to be honest, we weren't that impressed and there wasn't much to take pictures of. But the view of the city from the outside was awesome!
