Christmas Day

Christmas morning was so fun this year. We gave Emily her Christmas pajamas on Christmas Eve so she could wear them to bed. Of course Emily has no idea that Christmas morning was anything different from every other morning, but it was still magical to hover over her crib in the morning and talk baby talk to her, "Good Christmas morning babe! It's your first Christmas!" She smiled and kicked her legs and waved her arms, but I think that was just because she was excited to get out of her crib and get her belly filled.
It's hard to remember to get still pictures when you're busy video taping your baby's first christmas. That is what happened this year. I was video taping the whole time, and forgot about the regular camera until all the present opening was over. So, here is a picture of Emmie Christmas morning with her uncle Rob.

After the morning festivities, we got ready for the long day of family visits ahead. I reused the felt shirts I made. They took a long time to make, so I had to get more than one wear out of them.
First we went to Grandpa Tranter's house for lunch and visiting with dad's Tranter side of the family. So great to see the Tranter's.
You would think I would have gotten some pictures of the extended Tranter family members that we only see a few times a year now....but nope....I just took pictures of Emily. Go figure!

We then drove to Payson to spend the evening with mom's side of the family, the Finch's.

She was ready to go home at the end of this long but wonderful Christmas day. She waited patiently...
