Playing Catch Up - Devin's Visit

It has been a while.  Devin came in town on the 20th, and was with us until this past Saturday, March 2nd.  We had a lot of fun while he was here.  I'm actually surprised at how much we packed in.  We are sad he has already come and gone, but so thankful he was able to come see us for a bit.

Here is a recap in pictures

Devin went night skiing snowboarding with Matt.

We went skiing again together too.  Seriously, so fun and such an escape from reality.  This time we went to Solitude.

As mentioned in my previous post, we took Emily to Scheels to ride the Ferris wheel, and she loved this bear in  the entrance too.

Of course we went to the cabin again for a few days, and had so much fun.  We LOVE that place, and so do the girls.  It's magical being together with no outside distractions.  Just us, good food, lounge clothes, gorgeous nature and a cozy log cabin!

We built the granddaddy of all snowmen!

Emily sat in the snow when she got tired of playing and needed a rest.  She would say, "I'm sitting on my snow couch."

Looking up at airplanes...this girl loves airplanes and can find them so fast.

Late night snuggle with my bear.

Yes this happened more than once while Devin was home.  Emily is very much into nail polish right now, and requests her toe and finger nails to be painted almost everyday.  Devin obliged.

Lots of down time with the girls

Claire wearing grandma's clip on hoops.  She's so pretty!

And we took the girls to the aquarium.  Emily was bouncing off the walls and running all over the place.  I do't think she stood in front of a single tank for longer than a few seconds before she was off to the next one.

The penguins!

Not Pictured:
Devin was also able to spend a day working on his grandpa's farm.
We hosted a big family dinner.
Devin and I snuck out one night while the girls were sleeping to see a late night movie.
I was able to do a few long runs outside while Devin played with the girls. (so nice to run outside.)
