Last Memorial Day we went back to Utah, so yesterday was our first Memorial Day spent in Illinois. It was a great day! Boiling hot and HUMID....but a great day none the less. (Side note, I have realized that I must live in a dry place when Devin and I settle somewhere for him to practice podiatry. I sweat so badly, and am so miserable in humidity. I told Devin this yesterday, that we have to settle in a dry climate, and he agreed. Glad we're on the same page when it comes to heat and humidity.)
So our Memorial Day started off with a church breakfast at Adler Park. It was fun, beautifully green, and great company. And later in the afternoon we went to the Lex's house for our first cook out of the season.
Devin and Troy. Troy is a year ahead of Devin in school, so it is nice to talk to him and Rebekah (his wife) about what lies ahead for us.
Jill, Rebekah, and 2 of Rebekah's girls
Jill and daugter Sophie, me and Rebekah
And what would a post be without an update on Emily?
The flash of my phone camera was blinding her, but she did manage to give me a great smile showcasing her teeth. We think they're so cute.
She is officially crawling, as of last week. She is really getting into everything now, and it's making my life more difficult. Just when you get used to a phase, babies go and change it up on you! While Emily is crawling, she is also trying to stand up all the time! Oh boy!
Sweet llittle girl
And lastly, in the midst of full blown humidity, Emily's tiny little hairs have decided to curl up behind her ears. I think it's so darling!

What a fun weekend! Tell Devin that spaces between teeth are great for kids and we tell people that at work everyday! Its the crowding that you dont want! She is getting so big and the crawling is a fun but busy stage. Miss you guys!
