Last week we went to Fish Creek in Door County, Wisconsin with my dad and Mary. Mary has a lake house there, and like last fall, we drove up for some incredible rest, relaxation, and the great outdoors with them. It was SO FUN. My phone didn't have service at the house, and having it buried in my bag the whole time was liberating. We spent a lot of time outside, because the weather just kept getting more and more gorgeous. We slept in, ate fabulous meals, went for walks every day, bike rides, a hike, a fantastic training run, site seeing around Door County, shopping the adorable Fish Creek strip, played tons of cards at night, and had great company!

The views were amazingly beautiful!
Our walks were quiet, private, and beautiful.

Devin and I went for a long bike ride through the Penisula State Park , while Mary and dad watched Emily. It was the coldest day of our trip, but still really nice to be out riding with my babe! The park is gorgeous with equally gorgeous views.
We brought Emily's new bike trailer and went for a ride with her one day too. She loves riding in that trailer. Happy and content for almost 2 hours!

We ate a ton of CHERRY PIE! A huge slice every night while playing Rook and/or Hearts.
We went to a fish boil one night. They boiled fish, onions and potatoes, and then boil over the film of oil that develops at the top of the pot from the fish by pouring gasoline on the fire and causing the pot to "BOIL OVER!" Emily liked it...and so did we.

Mary was kind enough to watch Emily so that dad could take Devin and me on a hike through the State Park. Word theme of the trip: Beautiful!

We drove over to Bailey's Harbor on our last day to stroll a flea market and local business booths. As always, Emily got restless and the only thing to remedy her cries was the swing.
My little monkey girl
There is no internet at the house, so after we put Emily down and finished our last game of cards, we drove to the YMCA (free wireless) to watch the last half of the BYU/Utah game on Devin's laptop in our car. Fun little outing...horrible ending to the game if you're a BYU fan.

Our trip was fantastic! We were spoiled rotten, and loved every minute! Thank you Mary and dad for taking such great care of us!
