Emily Turns FIVE

What??  How is it possible that my first born is a FIVE year old?!
This little whipper snapper is so full of energy, full of life, full of spunk, full of sass, full of sweetness, full of love and makes me filled with joy (most of the time).  She has the biggest personality, and sometimes we clash (I guess she has to learn all of those qualities from someone!!)  BUT, at the end of the day, Emily has taught me more about myself and my capabilities than anyone else...ever...in my life.  She is one of a kind and I'm so thankful she is mine!

Having Claire's birthday come first, each year/summer, is tough for this little fire cracker.  For 2 solid months, Emily chatted about how on her birthday, she wants everything to be the exact same as how it was on Claire's birthday...the decorations, the cake, the activities...everything the same as Claire's.
So what did we do for Emily's 5th Birthday?  We went to Monkey Joes, just like we did for Claire's.

Birthday, pink, heart shaped pancakes for breakfast!

Doing Just Dance while we waited for James to wake up from his nap.

James was still sleeping, so we played the Matching Game next.

Dad gave her Pirate Booty, her most favorite snack!

We hadn't even made it to Monkey Joes yet, and she fell asleep on the 30 minute car ride there.  She must have been up the night before, filed with excitement and anticipation.

She chose what she wanted to ribs, and made her daddy very happy/proud with her selection...RIBS

Then back home for cake and presents.  

I mean seriously...so much sweetness!
