We had a great 3 day, Labor Day weekend. I love having Devin home with us, and always go through a little bit of withdrawals when reality hits at the beginning of the work week. Everything is more fun when Devin is around.
It was HOT HOT HOT on Friday, so our little playground visit didn't last long, but the girls and I did venture out for some bubble blowing under a shaded tree.
Claire lights up when Emily comes into her view.
We watched Georgia football Saturday afternoon.
Saturday night we had another barbecue down at the beach. We're trying to get in as much beach time as possible before we leave in 2 months. It was so fun spending time with a few families who have truly watched over and taken care of us since we've lived in Illinois.
Emily loves Nora...can you tell? :)
The boys played football
The girls chatted
Melissa held Claire for most of the night...so kind!
The Lex's
The Walker's
The Eyre's
Sunday morning, Claire bear was blessed at church by her daddy. (separate post coming)
Sunday night we had the Wright's over for dinner and games. We used to play monopoly, but we're going through a cards phase now.

And finally, we packed a lot of fun into Devin's extra day off yesterday, Labor Day. Because Claire is so tiny, we can't go for family bike rides with the bike trailer, so Devin and I have to go separately. We both got to go on a bike ride, then we played tennis. Emily loves chasing after the balls all around the court, and Claire sat happily in the stroller. We then made our way back down to the beach for an afternoon of play...Emily missed her nap, but it was worth it.
We got Emily down to bed at a decent time, and then enjoyed The Hunger Games. I have not read the books, but after seeing the movie, I really want to join the bandwagon.
We had a great weekend!
