A Blessed Baby James

Our little James was blessed by his daddy at church last Sunday, October 12.

We actually got to church 10 minutes early, reserved a front/side pew to ourselves and Emily stood on the stand to act as a reverent example.  We have got to make getting to church early a habit.  It was so nice to have a few minutes to gather my thoughts and sit and rest after hustling to get everyone up, fed, dressed, hair done, snacks/diapers packed and out the door by 8:30am.

James was a dream and didn't make a peep while his dad held him at the front of the church and pronounced a beautiful blessing upon him.  I couldn't help but think about Devin doing the same thing 2 and 4 Autumns ago for Claire and Emily in the very same building.  Several of the same Priesthood holders have encircled all 3 of my babies.  I love the image of Devin holding our baby and then a group of strong Priesthood men forming a circle around that baby.  So sweet.  Devin gave a very nice blessing for James' life and I add my hopes for James to all that he said.

Making sure his diaper was clean before heading into the chapel.  Cute little guy!
